The Research Centre POLARIS (Particulate Matter and Health Risk) is situated at the Department of Environmental Science of the University Milan – Bicocca. Its comprehensive and coordinated studies focus on the different impacts on environment and health in order to establish valid criteria for the management of environmental aspects and to provide useful tools to guide the environmental policies of government.

The Centre puts together Professors, researchers and experts of Universities and hospital corporations, who have valid skills about analysis on impacts caused by emission of different origin ( particulate matter, urban waste,...) in order to achieve solution by applying the most advanced technical and modeling methods.
